Transient Recovery Time: The time it takes for the output voltage to return to the specified range when there is a sudden change in load (0‐100%, 100%‐0), usually on the order of seconds (ms).

Filter: a device used to eliminate noise, the input or output filtered to obtain a pure contention of the alternating current.

Shielding: The use of physical principles, used to isolate the electromagnetic radiation to block a means.

Lightning tube: It is a kind of high‐voltage protection element used in the input of the equipment. If the voltage across its terminals exceeds its protection specification, a short‐circuit occurs within it and absorbs the input over‐voltage.

Dataphone: This is a device that converts analog signals from telephone lines to PC‐readable digital signals, or converts PC digital signals to analog signals for transmission over telephone lines.

RANDOMACCESSMEMORY (RAM): Dynamically stores information required by the CPU.

Simple Network Management Protocol [SIMPL EMETWORKMANAGFEMENTPROTOCOL (SNMP)]: is a widely used network management protocol, which can help network administrators to manage.

TCP/IP network in a variety of devices, and no complicated instructions, in the basic concept of only FETDH‐STORE (access) two kinds of instructions, simple, stable, flexible is the big advantage.

Instantaneous voltage drops: some can last from a few milliseconds to hundreds of milliseconds. If the voltage drop lasts for a long period of time or occurs frequently, it can cause malfunctions and reduce the life span of computers and electrical appliances.

Phase‐locked circuit: phase‐locked fast and slow a technical specification, the principle is: when the input voltage into the UPS, the UPS will control the frequency of its output power supply with the input power supply frequency ‐ the same, so as to achieve the same input and output frequency and the phase of the same time difference, but when the output frequency and the input frequency of the time difference, then, the UPS will be powered by the battery or do not output power to the load to use.

Three‐phase: The standard power system is a three‐phase power supply, mesa for the first phase of the first phase are glass sine waves and phase difference of 120 degrees, and single‐phase public for the three‐phase in a phase only. Input Voltage Range: The range in which the UPS allows the utility power to vary, the larger the range the better the UPS adapts.

Input Voltage Range: The range in which the UPS allows the utility power to vary, the larger the range the better the UPS adapts.

Zero Wire: In a single‐phase power system, the function of the zero wire is to conduct the return current, and the outlet end is in the same area as the grounding distribution.

Distortion: Distortion is divided into waveform distortion, voltage distortion, etc., regardless of the volume of distortion, are calculated as a percentage, the size of the period of true and harmonics, voltage, current and power factor are related. (Refer to HARMONIC)

Utility: That is, we say the line alternating current (AC), alternating current contains: voltage, current, frequency of three kinds of frequency can be divided into 50HZ (Hertz) and 60HZ (Hertz) two kinds of voltage distribution, by the 100VA‐240VA.‐normal alternating current waveforms for the sinusoidal, but the employment of stepped waveform similar to the formation of sinusoidal waveforms, such waveforms do not apply to motors or inductive loads in the equipment.

Radio Frequency (RADIOFREPUENCY): This is a kind of electromagnetic, exists in the communication equipment or computer operation equipment, part of the power is transmitted by the equipment line or weak antenna, in some cases, may be due to the amplitude is too large, resulting in the weak power transmission interruption or computer operation equipment failure and other problems.

Synchronization: The output sine wave power generated by the UPS and the input AC power are both sinusoidal, and they need to maintain the same frequency and phase. This is called synchronization.

SYCHRONOUS: A converter between two power supply loads.

Surge current: When electronic equipment is connected to the power outlet at the moment, in the equipment has been shut down for a period of time, instantly added to the power supply will be in the current on the equipment within the capacitor charging, so it will produce 3 ~ 10 microseconds of instantaneous high current, and through the power cord will be released by the amplitude of it, affecting other electronic equipment.

SURGE: ‐ An instantaneous pressure, this high voltage from hundreds of volts (amperes) to thousands of volts (amperes) or higher, lasting from thousands of deci‐seconds to hundreds of millions of deci‐seconds, which is a great potential danger to electronic equipment, causing a loss of data or a shortening of the life of the electronic parts, and seriously causing damage to the equipment or generating more serious consequences. There are two reasons for the production of sudden waves: nature, such as: strike; deception, electronic equipment instantly added to the load.

Surge suppressor: the surge generated by the over‐high voltage, over‐current effective absorption, and maintain normal voltage, current supply of electronic equipment, and to reduce the harm produced by the surge and extend the service life, due to the generation of the surge is an episodic phenomenon, so for the electrical equipment installed surge suppressor is necessary.
