Are Gel Batteries Better For Solar?
The modern gel battery was invented in 1957. Gel batteries are one of two sealed lead acid batteries, the other being an AGM battery. Sealed lead acid batteries are distinct from other lead acid batteries in that they are maintenance-free
What’s in a gel battery?
A gel battery is a dry battery since it doesn’t use a liquid electrolyte. In a gel battery, the electrolyte is frozen with silica gel. This keeps the electrolyte inside the battery, preventing it from evaporating or spilling.
This design stabilizes the battery and gives it a low self-discharge. This is a handy feature for batteries that lie idle for long periods.

Are gel batteries better than AGM batteries?
How do gel batteries compare to AGM batteries? Advantages of colloidal battery?
1) Fumed silica formulated high quality colloid, electrolyte distribution is uniform, there is no acid layering phenomenon. Excess electrolyte design, gel electrolyte filled battery case cavity, good heat dissipation is not easy to thermal runaway;
2) The electrolyte is in the state of gel fixation, no flow, no leakage, and even reaction of each part of the pole plate.
3) Adopting tight assembly technology, it has excellent high rate discharge performance.
4) Excess electrolyte, large heat capacity, strong heat dissipation ability, and wide working temperature range.
5) Adopting high purity raw materials, the self-discharge of the battery is very small.
6) Adopting gas recombination technology, the battery has very high sealing reaction efficiency, no acid mist precipitation, safe and environmental protection, no pollution.
7) Adopting special design and high reliable sealing technology to ensure the sealing of the battery, safe and reliable to use.
